Committees

Committees offer a way for all members of our community to work together to make RCR a great place to live and get to know each other better. PLEASE consider serving on one or more committees below. Architectural Review Committee (ARC)

The Architectural Review Committee focuses on maintaining the value of all properties in RCR and the architectural and aesthetic integrity of the neighborhood. The ARC is established according to Article 2 in the RCR Deed Restrictions. The committee reviews plans for improvements of all types in RCR, including but not limited to residences, garages, outbuildings, roads and driveways, fences, storage tanks, and landscaping. The committee can approve, disapprove, and monitor any improvement or construction activity.

Maintenance Committee

The Maintenance committee works with the Board and the management company to maintain the physical assets of RCR. This includes the following:

  • Entry gates

  • Road

  • Landscaping

  • Entry lighting

  • Roadside mowing and herbicide application

  • Pipe rail fencing

  • Cattle guards

  • Irrigation

  • Security cameras and network

  • Signage

The committee seeks cost-effective and reliable contractors to maintain a high-quality neighborhood at a reasonable cost.

Safety Committee

The Safety committee focuses on keeping RCR a safe place for everyone. It deals with security issues such as gates, cameras, sheriff’s patrols and a neighborhood watch program. It also deals with safety concerns such as persons, animals or vehicles on the road or trail. Lastly this committee promotes fire safety and recommends ways to prevent fires, as well as prepares the neighborhood emergency notification and response procedures if one occurs.

Social Committee

The Social committee focuses on creating a sense of community at RCR. The committee organizes and supports community events and manages RCR social media.

Trail Use Committee

The Trail Use Committee is responsible for identifying and recommending changes to our policies in RCR in order to promote access and enjoyment of the Trail for all owners, while at the same time taking into account concerns for safety, noise, trail conditions, liability for the HOA or property owners, easement questions, and so on.

Wildlife Committee

The Wildlife committee focuses on supporting native plant and animal species in RCR. The committee maintains the Tarrant Appraisal District 1-D-1 wildlife management tax appraisal for RCR by following an approved wildlife management plan. The committee recommends a wide variety of practices that promote a healthy ecosystem in RCR, such as: selection and seeding of native grasses, deer feeders, bird and bat houses, use of chemicals, mowing strategies, predator control, and more.
